Restaurant ordered to pay over £10,000

Restaurant ordered to pay in excess of £10,000 in Food Safety Act case, after supplying food containing peanuts to a customer who specified that she had a nut allergy. The case was prosecuted by Syan Ventom instructed by Wiltshire Council. In passing sentence the Court accepted Syan’s submissions on culpability, and rejected those put forward by the Defence.
