We would like to thank Margaret Pine-Coffin for her invaluable advice and patience over the years on this case. I am really pleased that we got a good result.

Local Authority Family Law Solicitor - UK

Mental Health & Community Care

Our Mental Health team offer their advice and representation on matters affected by the Mental Health Act 1983 and 2007.

Members undertake a wide array of work before the Mental Health Review Tribunal and are able to offer advice on any issues concerning First-Tier Tribunals, Upper Tribunals and the higher appellate courts. Members are experienced in dealing with the Mental Health Act 1983 and 2007, particularly under Section 29 for the displacement of patient's relatives and they can offer advice on aftercare issues.

This team are particularly interested in the wider issues of social and community care for both the young and old, non-dependant on the nature of their disability.

Members of this team understand the legal consequences of diagnosis under the act, including family life, housing and welfare. Both our team and our Clerks aim to eliminate the stigma and prejudice surrounding Mental Health issues both in the courts and in everyday life.

We regularly offer advice to Local Authority's on the availability and design of community services and they can offer advice on Mental Health Nursing in relation to vulnerable adults and children.
