Aleks is an experienced criminal practitioner,  practising as a solicitor with higher rights of audience since 2007, before being called to the Bar. Aleks therefore has a particular understanding of the pressures faced by solicitors and their clients having worked at the “coalface” as a busy duty solicitor for a number of years.

He deals with a broad range of criminal matters at all stages, from advocacy at the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court through to appearing at the Court of Appeal. 

Aleks has experience of complex and lengthy trials acting as junior alone and as a led junior, including sexual offences, conspiracy to burgle and rob, people trafficking and the supply of drugs. In addition he has often been instructed to represent vulnerable defendants.

Aleks’ outside interests include boxing (holding a white collar undefeated record of 4 fights and 4 wins) and coaching junior football and hockey.
