Catherine is keen to develop her regulatory practice. She is regularly instructed by local authorities in matters concerning education law. She has also been instructed by local authorities in matters concerning environmental law. Her recent cases involve prosecutions for school non-attendance and fly-tipping matters.
Police Law
Catherine accepts instructions from a range of police forces and is developing a strong practice in police law. Her recent instructions involve civil preventative orders and applications under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. She is regularly instructed to act in contested hearings relating to Community Protection Notices, Sexual Risk Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and Closure Orders, often involving complex factual backgrounds and sensitive safeguarding concerns.
Property and Social Housing
Catherine acts for local authorities and housing associations in a wide range of social housing matters. Her practice includes representing landlords in possession proceedings as well as anti-social behaviour injunctions. In addition, Catherine is regularly instructed in access injunctions.
