Athletics coach jailed for historic sexual abuse

Timothy Moores was instructed by CPS Wessex following a lengthy investigation carried out by the Operation Marmion team at Hampshire Constabulary who specialise in investigating non-recent child sex abuse.
The defendant entered a guilty plea on the first day of his trial to 18 counts of indecent assault dating back to the 1970s and 1980s whilst working as an athletics coach.
Proceeding to sentence, Judge Keith Cutler CBE imposed a seven and a half year prison term for the offences, in addition the defendant must also sign on the sex offenders register for life.
