On 23rd November, Edward Elton and Roderick Blain will be introducing the system of Courts Martial.
The military system of justice has always worked in isolation from the civilian courts, it now seeks to emulate; but even as the Courts Martial move closer in procedure, powers and appearance to the civilian courts, important differences remain.
This 2 hour seminar seeks to highlight some of those atavistic differences and to suggest how best civilian advocates can adapt to them. It will also provide a summary of the latest important decisions reached in Courts Martial, so that you can give accurate advice and confidently steer your uniformed clients through a forbidding justice system that few of them can understand
This seminar will be held in Chambers from 4pm and will hold 2 hours Free CPD.
