Housing and Anti-Social behaviour

The most significant aspect of Amy's practice is social housing and she has years of experience advising on, and appearing in Courts in the whole range of Landlord and Tenant issues for both sides, including possession and demotion claims, anti-social behaviour injunctions and committals, ASBOs, closure orders and disrepair matters as well as matters relating to tenancy agreements. She has had success for both sides when dealing with proportionality and Equality Act issues and in hoarding cases.

She advises and appears in matters concerning statutory homelessness reviews carried out by local authorities and consequential judicial review or appeal.

Amy has extensive experience in drafting, advising upon and appearing in ASBIs and ASBO applications, both for housing-related and non housing related conduct and is therefore well equipped to deal with any work relating to IPNAS and other anti-social remedies in the toolkit.

Amy advises upon and drafts tenancy agreements, policies and procedures.

Amy can provide any in-house training you require in the social housing and anti-social behaviour field.

Residential and Commercial Landlord and Tenant:

Amy is regularly instructed by Local Authorities, RSLs, corporate clients and private individuals in the whole spectrum of Landlord and Tenant work.

Amy has experience in an array of matters, including those arising under Part II of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the interpretation and enforcement of leasehold covenants.

Amy advises clients on tenancy agreements and policy issues and conducts seminars on matters of interest.

Other Work:

She has acted for mortgagors and mortgagees in possession claims and appeared for Local Authorities in claims against gypsies and trespassers.

She advises and appears in matters concerning boundary disputes, restrictive covenants and easements.

She is happy to advise on discrete contract and negligence issues as well as will, probate, equity and inheritance matters.
