Jeremy Burns (Head of Planning & Land)

Employment


Jeremy is a part time Employment Judge and has been on the Attorney General’s Panel of approved Counsel on employment matters since 2003.

He has years of experience in the most complex issues involving employment law and advises and represents Central Government departments regularly every year.

His practice covers claimants and respondents and he appears in the Employment Tribunal, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal regularly.

He also has been to the High Court on matters relating to restrictive covenants in employment contracts.

Property and Social Housing


Jeremy in an expert in matters relating to commercial property disputes.

As well as covering social housing he has recently been involved in cases with issues such as party walls, the right to buy, renewal of business tenancies, lease enfranchisement, contentious conveyancing and building disputes generally.

His time as a solicitor has assisted in helping Jeremy deal with clients directly on many of these issues. He can also deal with these matter under Direct Professional Access rules.

Civil


As well as his property and employment related matters Jeremy is a senior member of the Civil Team.

Jeremy has particular expertise in areas that include partnerships and issues connected with these, insolvency, complicated contractual disputes and all areas of professional negligence.
