Edward Warren

Crime

Edward is a specialist criminal practitioner who appears in the Crown Court across the full spectrum of criminal matters, both prosecuting and defending. He is regularly instructed in cases of serious violence, sexual offences, and drug offences, amongst other matters regularly before the courts.

As part of his defence practice, Edward is instructed in cases covering the full range of allegations. He is comfortable handling sensitive and difficult topics, and has been commended for the way in which he puts these matters to witnesses and juries on behalf of his clients, notably in cases involving allegations of serious sexual offences.

Edward is a Grade 3 CPS prosecutor. He has been led in serious multi-handed trials, and has recently acted as disclosure junior in a complex serious organised crime investigation.

Edward is often instructed in cases involving serious and chronic mental health conditions, and he has built up a body of experience in calmly and patiently representing clients with often severe conditions. His approach is valued by clients and their families, and he takes pride in helping those he represents feel more comfortable in the often frightening situations they encounter in the Criminal Justice System.
