Mary Aspinall-Miles (instructed by Wessex CPS) has prosecuted Hampshire’s Constabulary’s first ever conviction for modern slavery.

Police were alerted to a 13 year old child in Andover who was found with drug dealing paraphernalia. The police were then able to link the defendant to this child via careful investigation of the defendant’s mobile phone as well as his movements which included picking up the child from a children’s home where he had been placed for his own safety.
