We would like to thank Margaret Pine-Coffin for her invaluable advice and patience over the years on this case. I am really pleased that we got a good result.

Local Authority Family Law Solicitor - UK

We have a designated Team who specialise in all aspects of Matrimonial Finance and Ancillary Relief including:

  • Cases involving farms, private companies or Partnership Holdings
  • Trust Disputes including those with overseas issues
  • Issues relating to Inherited wealth
  • Cases involving the concealment or dissipation of assets
  • Cases involving complex enforcement issues
  • Cases involving bankruptcy and liquidation
  • Schedule 1 of Children’s Act Proceedings
  • Disputes between cohabiting partners
  • Injunctive Relief including Freezing Orders

A number of challenges have been created by the change in Matrimonial Finances brought about by the White v White (2000) case. One of the main changes has been that of pre-nuptial agreements. Many of the Team have extensive experience with this issue and we have lectured on the subject on many occasions.

Chambers is pleased to be able to offer this representation and advice to both privately and publically funded clients however we do recognise that, should legal aid be removed from financial cases, we will need to offer all of our clients fixed fees to help them service the many individuals who will inevitably still need legal help.

Several members of the Team can also offer advice and representation on Inheritance Act claims on behalf of dependent former spouses and the children of such families as well as claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. This is another popular area for our Training Services and we regularly offer free CPD Seminars on the subject.

For details on these courses and the others that we run throughout the year please have a look at our Training Services page.
