Child Care

Our members are committed to offering a high quality service when acting in Child Care cases whether they are acting for Guardians, Separately Represented Children, Parents or Local Authorities.

Members have a comprehensive experience of the Appeal Courts, High Court, County Courts and Family Proceedings Courts. As a Team we recognise the need for continuity of Counsel and will always do our best to ensure that clients meet the same person each time they attend Court. There are obviously occasions where this may not be possible but we have procedures in place to ensure the early booking of a replacement Counsel so that they have time to be thoroughly prepared when they first meet clients.

Team members are experienced in all aspects of Family Law including Emergency Applications, Adoptions and the Medical Treatment of Minors. Members also have knowledge and experience of dealing with less common issues such as Fictitious Illness Syndrome, Mental Health Issues (concerning parents or children) and Chambers have also acted in high profile Non-Accidental Injury Cases such as Baby Shaking and the murder of Minors.

Additionally Team members are able to act in matters concerning disclosure of PII material, particularly when acting for Social Services and Educational Authorities.
