Controversial planning proposals for 'linked' development by London Irish dismissed by Secretary of State in a case where Gary Grant (Head of Planning Team) was acting for the LPA.
Following a three week Public Local Inquiry in the summer, the Secretary of State has by a decision 24/11/11 agreed with his inspector in dismissing the proposals for a substantial mixed use development of the London Irish Ground in Sunbury in order to fund a relocation site within the Surrey Green Belt. The case raised issues including green belt policy, enabling development and affordable housing.
