Amy's practice is divided mainly between housing, other Landlord and Tenant matters and other Civil matters.

Residential and Commercial Landlord and Tenant:

She is regularly instructed by Local Authorities, RSL's, corporate clients and private individuals in the whole spectrum of Landlord and Tenant work.

She has experience in an array of matters, including those arising under Part II of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the interpretation and enforcement of leasehold covenants.

She advises clients on tenancy agreements and policy issues and conducts seminars on matters of interest.

Housing

The most significant aspect of Amy's practice is social housing. She is regularly instructed by Local Authorities, Housing Associations and private clients to advise upon and appear in the whole range of Landlord and Tenant issues, including possession claims, anti-social behaviour injunctions and committals, ASBOs, closure orders and disrepair matters as well as matters relating to tenancy agreements.  She advises and appears in matters concerning statutory homelessness reviews carried out by local authorities and consequential judicial review or appeal.

Other Work:

She advises upon and appears in matters relating to anti-social behaviour, such as stand alone ASBO applications, crack house and nuisance premises closure orders, environmental health issues – abatement notices, s222 injunctions and Protection from Harassment Act injunctions. She has acted for mortgagors and mortgagees in possession claims and appeared for Local Authorities in claims against gypsies and trespassers.

She advises and appears in matters concerning boundary disputes, restrictive covenants and easements.

She is happy to advise on discrete contract and negligence issues as well as will, probate, equity and inheritance matters.

Finally, she also advises upon and appears in the Tribunal in the area of special educational needs.
