Emma practices in a broad range of areas with a particular emphasis on family and criminal work.
Family
Emma accepts instructions in all family law matters and has experience in ancillary relief, domestic violence injunctions and private law children disputes including contact, residence and prohibited steps. She is also interested in developing her practice in public children law and cohabitants' property disputes.
Crime
Emma undertakes both prosecution and defence work and frequently appears in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. She has experience in prosecuting for a number of agencies including local authorities, the National Probation Service and the Department of Work and Pensions. Her defence work includes violent offences including ABH and domestic abuse, public order, drug related and driving offences.
Common law
Emma practises general common law in matters including personal injury, employment, bankruptcy and contractual disputes. She regularly appears in the small claims court and is also keen to undertake housing, landlord & tenant and planning work.
