Practice

Principally a criminal practitioner with considerable experience in most areas of crime, acting on behalf of both prosecution and defence.

In particular he has acted in many large cases involving the Importation of Drugs, Serious Violence and Serious Sex offences and has a particular interest in the role of public interest immunity in the Crown Court. He has appeared in a number of leading cases including appearing in the House of Lords.

In addition to crime he has extensive experience of the Coroners Court; having appeared in some 200 inquests. The majority of these have concerned deaths in custody but have also included deaths at sea, in the air, and in the course of public demonstration.
