Practice

A specialist in Consumer and Regulatory Law, including all aspects of environment law (esp. waste and water), trading standards, health and safety and all other aspects of environmental health.

He acts for Local Authorities on a broad range of matters including prosecution for regulatory offences such as food safety and hygiene, breach of planning enforcement notices, noise nuisance and housing benefit frauds. In addition he deals with appeals against abatement notices and other decisions of Local Authority Licensing Committees including liquor, taxi and public entertainments licensing.

He is especially happy to advise early in any contemplated litigation particularly to assess whether there is sufficient evidence to bring a prosecution and in the selection and drafting of Informations.

He also defends in all areas of his practice.

He has appeared before the High Court and Court of Appeal on a number of occasions.
